When I played this CD for the first time I immediately knew that this will be on my list forver. Pure, honest and unpretentious Folk, Country, Rock songs that have a timeless quality. Listening to this I simply feel good .. this is real music for music lovers that do not care about ANY fashion aspect. Pure emotion put to music. I just can repeat, if you are looking for pure and honest Folk, Country, Rock songs you simply can't go wrong with this release - I love it!

About Julie Grower
Julie Grower's contemporary folk, country and rootsy pop songs have earned her two Billboard Song Contest certificates of achievement.
Grower's debut CD “In A New Light,” was co-produced by Jon Gordon (who has served as musical director and guitarist for Suzanne Vega and Madonna). Gordon also handles much of the instrumental work on the album.
The album also features Lisa Haney on Cello, Robert Sheridan on Guitar, Chris Benelli on Drums, Kenny Kosek on Violin, and Charlie Giordano on Accordian, among others.
"In A New Light" has been receiving airplay on independent U.S. and European radio stations.
Grower has performed at The Bitter End, CBGB’s Gallery (NYC), The Kendall Café (Boston), and throughout the northeast and in the United Kingdom.
In Nashville, she can be heard at such venues as The Bluebird Café, Hotel Indigo, and The Commodore Lounge, where she has enjoyed sharing the bill with songwriters Tia Sillers (“I Hope You Dance”); Lisa Carver (“Wake Up Older”) and Chris Wallin (“Speed”, “I’m Tryin’).
Grower has contributed her time and songwriting talent for “Songs Of Love,” an organization that delivers personalized songs to chronically ill children.
Originally from New York State, Julie Grower lives in Nashville, Tennessee.
